I’ve never been able to deal with a strict diet. I love the way I feel when I’m fit. My clothes fit perfectly, I feel amazing energy wise and of course I’m super confident in a bikini. But just like everyone else, I love food. 😊
I gave birth to our little boy back in June 2015. It took me an entire year and months to get back to working out. It wasn’t easy, besides being busy I had no energy or drive to get back on the fitness wagon. I finally made it back to the gym in January and I’ve been keeping up with my diet & workout plan religiously. I’ve even gone to the gym on Saturday’s (even though I didn’t feel like it sometimes). But my motivation is, to be able to feel comfy in my own skin again. Honestly my motivation is my bikini and my hubby.
I’m going to be honest, I’ve had some serious cheat days along this journey but I didn’t let it keep me down. I started of with a simple diet. I eliminated oils, starch, sweets and anything that would make my tummy feel bloated. I went an entire month just drinking regular water & cinnamon water. I dropped 4″ inches off my waist since Jan. 2017. I can’t wait to post my before and after photo.
I also found that the pineapple diet is very effective. Just this week I’ve been replacing my sweet cravings with pineapple and let me tell you; I feel like a different person. My energy level has been so much better, I haven’t been bloated at all from PMS and my skin feels amazing.
Here are a few tips that you can follow to help loose weight and maintain your muscle growth;
- Lots of fresh water or boil one table spoon or cinnamon in 3 cups of water. It helps to eliminate fat in the tummy area and cleanses the body
- Eat all 3 meals per day, I always have a super healthy breakfast so I don’t have to snack before lunch
- My lunch is high in protein and very low in carbs
- Dinner is usually a fruit salad, a protein shake or yogurt and granola (something light anytime before 8pm).
I was never a believer in taking supplements, before I got pregnant I was in the best shape of my life and I did it all without even taking a pre-workout. Now I’ve realized that sometimes you need a little boost. I take a pre-workout (C4 explosive energy) & a BCAA to maintain my muscle during my workouts. It works and I’m feeling amazing. I try to workout 5 days per week, but it doesn’t always happen. If I don’t get to lift I go for a run just down the street.
MY BREAKFAST DIET
- 2 boiled eggs
- Half of an avocado
- 1 banana
- 2 slices of Ezekiel bread with a coconut spread, honey & cinnamon sprinkled on top.
- Cinnamon water
No snacks inbetween meals
This worked for me. I will post my before and after photo soon.
Remember; Diet is everything we eat & drink. But that doesn’t mean we have to eat and drink every or anything. 😉
Until next time dolls.
